Venom Snake/Self Portrait

When I started the snake drawing I drew the body first and took a long time creating the mouth, teeth and jaw. After I drew the mouth I started to draw the skin, with the same motion to each scale. After the scales I started to shade in the scales. The snake was done and I was told that a background was needed so I drew a galaxy behind, in the sky.

With the self portrait I tried to draw the eyes first and expand from there. The eyes and eyebrows came out pretty well. Then I drew the chin and jaw and face structure. The structure of the face came out bad so I tried to fix it. Then I drew the hair. The hair came out too high up so I tried to erase some off. Then I was told that a neck would look better so I drew a neck and it turned out pretty well
